No crowds. No kids. Just our cool, relaxing villa for two – and a sparking salt-water pool - bordered by olive groves.

It's all set in beautiful, unspoiled countryside on the fringes of the magnificent Majella National Park, with what one of our guests calls 'the best views in Abruzzo'.

Untouched by mass tourism, our corner of Abruzzo has medieval villages and castles for you to explore; long sandy beaches; mountains and forests.

Or you can shop til you drop - especially for Italian fashion and shoes ! - and then unwind at a huge choice of really great places to sample Abruzzo's delicious food and wine.

Throughout your stay, you'll find warm, friendly local people - and year-round fairs, feasts and festivals.

Villa Acquaviva has been faithfully restored from the ruins of a 19th century barn, keeping to the traditional local style of cream-washed walls; dark green shutters; and big, curved roof tiles.

Downstairs in this split-level villa are cool tiled floors, white walls and wood beams, with double glass doors opening onto your own private area on a big south-facing sun terrace.

You've a comfortable sitting area to relax, read, or watch a DVD; a dining table and chairs; a well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven and fridge; and a clean, modern tiled bathroom with sink, WC, bidet and walk-in shower.

Upstairs there's a wood-floored, galleried mezzanine with a kingsize double bed - or, if you prefer, twin singles.

There's plenty of room too for all your holiday bits-and-pieces and a small personal safe.

And if you need to keep in touch during your holiday, we have free WiFi access and fantastic cellphone reception !

We live right here too, so you never have to worry if there'll be someone around to let you in if your travel plans are delayed.
