Fishing boats and ferries go to Evia, Tinos, Andros and Mykonos islands. The central square buzzes with restaurants, bars and cafes - great for fresh seafood. There's an open air market twice a week and a cinema.

Close to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport by taxi or bus.

The East coast beaches vary from long sandy bays with umbrellas and sunbeds lined with cafes and bars, to secluded rocky coves, all within 10-20 minutes drive. Much less touristy and polluted than the West coast.

Use the local shuttle bus to get around, taxis, or hire a car from 25E/day and visit the local Temple of Artemis, wetlands for bird spotting, Mati with its marina, or Marathon. Athens boasts the new Acropolis museum among others set next to the ancient temple, Plaka, parks and great eateries.
