This detached, listed Farmhouse and Stable dates back to the 1700’s and has been beautifully restored while retaining many character features. It once stood alone on the brow of the hill overlooking Chesil Beach and The Fleet. The three small windows in the side elevation were reputed to have been used for signalling to smugglers. The property is now in a residential area but some upper windows retain views over The Fleet and Chesil Beach and towards Portland. About three hundred metres from the property a footpath gives access down to The Fleet nature reserve. Weymouth is a bustling seaside town famous for its beautiful sandy bay. The town centre lies about two and a half miles from this property and includes the old harbour area where there are numerous pubs restaurants and other attractions.
